It's Showtime!!!!

So after almost a month of working on our new Pottery barn inspired bed, we are finally ready to share our project. Thanks to the awesome plan designs by Ana over on www.knockoffwood.blogspot.com and some slight changes made by my dear husband, I present to you our new awesome bed!

Here it is all assembled and framed and ready to go. I absolutely love the stain. It is called pecan.
We had to recruit our children to come in and help us assemble the frame/side rails so that we could attach everything to the headboard and footboard. So it was indeed a family project. : )

The finished product. I love it! I am in awe that my awesome husband built this bed. It is so much better than anything store bought. It is solid. It is sturdy. It is beautiful and it is oh so comfy!!!!!!!
